Indicator Lights on Curt 4-Pole to 7-Way Adapter

Question:

Should all the lights on this connector be illuminated. I have a charge line to the camper. I do not have a brake controller. The trailer does not have reverse lights. Seems like the bottom 3 lights on the connector are illuminted RT, TM, and LT, but not the top 3 12V, BK, or BU. Does this mean by battery charge line is not charging based on the fact the 12V light is not lit? Thanks

When fully installed, all the lamps would be lit as each function was activated. The BK or brake would not be lit, as you do not have a brake controller installed. The BU lamp would only light if the vehicle transmission were in reverse and that yellow wire was tapped into the circuit feeding the reverse lights on the vehicle. The 12V lamp would only light if the black wire was attached to the positive battery terminal. The 12-Volt circuit should be circuit protected using a 40 amp inline breaker, like part # 9510.

In other words, if the yellow and black wires on the adapter were ran to their proper destination, they should be lit.
