Replacement Hardware Kit and Torque Specs for Husky 5th Wheel Base Rail Kit in 1997 Ford Pickup

Is there a way you can give me the torque specs on the bolts that hold the rails to the bed of the truck. I took the rails out to have the bed sprayed and paint the rails. I cant find anything on the torque specs to tighten them to. Thank you for your help.

We can help you with installation details for the 5th wheel base rail kit you wish to re-install in your 1997 Ford Heavy Duty pickup. All base rail kits for your specific truck appear on the page I linked for you; simply select your specific configuration to see options for your truck. Since the manufacturers may change specs from time to time we always recommend referring to the latest instructions which are linked in PDF file form.

Once you do so you'll be able to find your particular install kit and on that item's page the detailed installation instructions from the manufacturer that will provide all the specs.

Do note you will also need to order a replacement hardware kit since these fasteners can be torqued only one time. The rails and brackets can be re-used. For a Husky rail kit you can use hardware package # HT31563, instructions for which are linked. The torque specs for this hardware appear on page 4.
