Retaining Pin is Stuck in Weigh Safe Ball Mount Platform

Question:

I have a Weigh Safe ball mount with the pin frozen in the ball mount. I have soaked it in WD40 and tried heat and it wont come out. What do I do? The lock came out, but the pin holding the ball wont.

If the retaining pin is stuck in your ball mount platform then really the best thing to do would be to remove it however you can (maybe try drilling it out) and replacing it with a new Retaining Pin # WS04.

Should you be unable to remove the pin still then you need to simply replace the platform itself. We have part # WS01-5 for 2-1/2" ball mounts, part # WS01 for 2" ball mounts. If by chance you are talking about the 180 platform then you need part # TB01 instead.

For replacement hitch balls we have the 1-7/8" # WSB-L, 2" # WSB-XL, and 2-5/16" # WSB-XXL145 options for you to choose from.
