Question:
Please dont laugh but when you said to open the awning about 12 inches and support the arms to remove the tension in the awning roller how or what should I use to support the arms.. Thank you for all the help trying to avoide taking to a dealer

Although there isn't a specific way to support the arms of your awning when installing the Solera Power Awning Replacement Motor # LC266149 you can definitely get creative. Lippert actually suggests using zip ties to hold the arms in place.
I would either go the zip tie route or or just recruite a few extra sets of hands.
