I purchased a equalizer weight distribution hitch from yall a while back i was wondering if i could use it without the sway bars the boat trailer i have even with pole tounge adaptor will not work because of the extra long surge brake actuator the bars are to short

You certainly can use a weight distribution system without attaching the spring bars. You'll be using just the shank, head, and hitch ball so it won't have any anti-sway or weight distributing going on but the trailer can still be hooked up and towed. You'll basically have a big ball mount.
