Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2016 Honda HR-V
Question:
What hitch should I get installed on my 2016 Honda HR-V to haul my stepdads motorized chair around? All the carriers fit a 2 inch receiver, and sadly only have a 1.25 inch hitch installed. Thatll need to be replaced by a class 3, but Im having trouble finding an economical solution to my problem. Please help?

For the 2016 Honda HR-V we have the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit # 306-X7322 2-inch hitch that you may be able to use to carry a motorized chair depending on how much it weighs. This ecoHitch # 306-X7322 has a 300-pound tongue weight capacity, which will need to include the weight of the carrier + the weight of the motorized chair. If you use the 30x50 Flint Hill Goods Cargo Carrier w/ 48" Ramp # FHG77ZR, the carrier we motorized chair. If the motorized chair weighs 220 pounds or less, this would be a great solution.
If the motorized chair weighs more than 220 pounds your next option with the HR-V will be a small trailer to tow with the same # 306-X7322 hitch. For wiring then you'd want the # 118673 which is a confirmed custom fit and then for a ball mount # C45036 which comes with a 2" ball and a pin and clip.
