Installing EcoHitch Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2013 Subaru Outback
Question:
I am interested in the EcoHitch Class III Hitch for my 2013 Subaru Outback, which I understand installs behind the rear bumper. The information on your web site indicates the rear bumper needs to be removed and the exhaust lowered for installation. However, the installation video for this part at torkliftcentral.com seems to show only the lowering of the exhaust. Before I order, I just want to confirm whether the hitch attaches behind the rear bumper guard or under the frame. Do you have an installation video on your website that applies to my vehicle? Thanks.

The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7162 is a fit for your 2013 Subaru Outback. We recommend removing the bumper fascia because the fascia will require trimming, but Torklift doesn't require it. Their installation details offer two methods of installation, one that requires removing the bumper and one that enlarges the holes instead. The video by the manufacturer shows one of these two installation methods.
