How to Determine Max Trailer Weight for Towing with a 2014 Ford F-150

I have a 2014 Ford F 150 Fx4 has 355 rear. in the door it say 7,200 Gvwr now my question is i see everywhere that it can tow up to 10,000 lbs.. on the ford towing chart it say for GCWR 13,300 tows 7,300 and also has 15,500 GCWR can tow 9,500... so witch one will the truck pull

Sometimes the charts in the owner's manuals are confusing and do more harm than good. The best way to calculate the max trailer weight that your 2014 Ford F-150 can handle is by taking the gross combined weight rating (GCWR) found on your door and then subtract the vehicle curb weight along with any additional weight such as aftermarket hitches, people, luggage, and payload. The result will be the max amount of weight that you can tow with your F-150.
