Recommended Curt Bike Rack for 2 Cruiser Bikes On Truck with 2-1/2 Inch Trailer Hitch

Greetings I am looking to replace my current bike rack, and I am waffling between the Curt C18029 2 bike and Curt C18063 premium 3 bike. I am leaning towards the 3 bike model, as it has a higher weight capacity my 2 cruiser bikes are fairly heavy. I recently upgraded to a GMC Sierra 2500, which has a 2 1/4 hitch receiver. It came with an adaptor sleeve to convert it to a 2 inch receiver. How long is the threaded hitch pin that comes with these racks? Is there a longer threaded hitch pin locking or non-locking that is long enough to go through the 2 1/4 receiver? I checked several of the threaded hitch pins, and did not find any info on the length of these pins. I may be able to swap out the threaded itch pin with a long threaded bold if I can find one that has the full length thread. Do you recommend the 2 or 3 bike rack? It appears that the premium 3 bike rack is more robust from a design standpoint. Your insights are greatly appreciated. Regards

The Curt Premium 3 Bike Rack for 2" Hitches #C18063 and the Curt 2 Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting # C18029 are rated similarly for each bike being up to 45 lbs. Because you have a 2-1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver on your Sierra 2500 which is factory size, I recommend using the 3 Bike option due to the larger shank size. To make this compatible the sleeve you were given with the hitch will not work. You will instead need to use a hitch reducer that has an extender like # HR26 to allow the hitch pin threading to work as there is not an extended length threaded pin for bike racks. I recommend the SilentACT Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Accessories Lock # SHP2082 to secure your hitch extension.

Then for locks I recommend the Curt Adjustable Cable Lock # C23666. You may also be interested in the Curt Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's and Alternative Frame Bikes # C18016 to help bikes without a top frame rail ride level.
