Yes, you can replace your hydraulic brakes with electric brakes. You will need to know your axle capacity and have the appropriate brake mounting flange. For example, with a 12" x 2" drum there is the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-7-SA, which is for axles with a 5,200 lb - 7,000 lb capacity and will work with a 5-bolt mounting flange such as # 4-44-1. You will also need a brake controller, breakaway kit and wiring, some of which is vehicle-specific.

Second, in order to find the correct hub and drum for your Escort boat trailer, you need to take apart your current hub assembly and look at the bearings themselves; wipe away the grease and you should be able to see the part number stamped directly on them. If you are unable to find them, you need to use a digital caliper to measure your spindle to the thousandths of an inch where the bearings ride. You can use the photo I've attached to see exactly where you need to measure.

I have added a link to a help article for you to check out that details all the parts you'll need to add electric brakes, and if you have any further questions please let me know.
