Question:

fifth wheel hitch. I have a 2017 f-150 145 inch wheel base Lariat super crew 4x4 with 3.5 ecoboost. Do you have a hitch to fit my vehicle?

We can find you a great fifth wheel hitch for your 2017 F-150, though would you be able to tell me what size your bed is?

Keeping in mind that you are going to need a Sidewinder to tow a fifth wheel trailer with the 5-1/2' bed on your 2017 Ford F-150 I recommend the Reese M5 # RP30928 which is compatible with a Sidewinder and uses a single, self-latching jaw to ensure optimal connection to your king pin. It has a 9" funnel and 4-way pivoting head to make hooking up your fifth wheel trailer a simpler process, and offers a height adjustment between 14" and 18".

To install the Select Plus in your '17 F-150 I recommend the Custom Outboard Installation Kit with Base Rails # RP56034-53. This is a custom kit that will not require you to drill into your F-150's frame to install the brackets, unlike universal install kits.

As for a Sidewinder, you cannot use a fifth wheel hitch in a truck with a 5-1/2' bed without a Sidewinder because your trailer will hit the sides of the cab; what a Sidewinder does is move the pivot point back, allowing for extra clearance to avoid your trailer and truck cab colliding.

To find the correct Sidewinder, what you will need to know is the manufacturer and model number of the pin box on your fifth wheel and match that with the correct replacement. For example, Sidewinder # RP34FR will replace Fabex 663 and 665, Lippert 0719, 1621 and 1621HD, as well as M&M 663 and 665 pin boxes. If you let me know the manufacturer and model number of your pin box I can find the correct Sidewinder for you. Additionally, most fifth wheel hitches require a wedge to pair with a Sidewinder, and for the Select Plus you need to add Wedge # SWW-01.
