Solution for Trailer Turn Signals that Stay Solid When Brakes and Blinker is On

Hi I have a 2003 dodge pickup with factory installed trailer wiring. The previous owner had a snow plow installed with lights. Problem I found is the left turn is not working on the trailer when I apply the brake. The trailer lights are green for right turn and brake. The trailer right turn works and the right brake works - and the right turn blinks with brake on as it should. The trailer yellow for left turn and brake. I was able to get the trailer left to blink with no brake. And able to get left brake to work with no left turn on. When I apply the brakes and and turn on left turn, the trailer left stays on instead of blinking I know why and will explain. Brown for trailer tail and it works. Under the drivers side I found a wiring harness connector that I will call a converter . With a probe I found the left turn green/red going into the converter blinking but after the converter only truck left turn green/red works. Coming out of the converter is a yellow wire that I tested that runs to the trailer plug that has no power when I turn on the left or right and no power when I apply the brake. I I believe the yellow is suppose to convert the left turn green/red and the brakemaybe white/brown for the trailer. Note: before the converter, brake wires are white/red and white/brown. After the converter for brakes are white/red and white/brown. Before and After the converter, white/red is the right turn. This white/red runs to the trailer plug that turns into the green trailer which I am happy works for right turn and brake on trailer and right turn blinks with brake applied . What I found in the back of the truck the white/Brown was cut and terminated errr. The only right turn was the green/red going to the truck left turn. Thinking I was onto something I bought 2 of your diodes 56306 and 1 diode 690. I connected the 56306 input to green/red for turn and the white/brown for brake with output to the trailer yellow. You guessed it, left brake worked on my truck and trailer. . Left turn worked on truck and trailer but when applying brake with left turn the left trailer light stayed solid thankful the truck was blinking and brake bulb on. What I learned was the diode was allowing both power sources to feed the yellow trailer wire. Rookie mistake - of course I realized that after receiving all the diodes today but I taught me something. Long story - sorry. I think I need a simple converter to allow the left turn green/red power to flow while turning off the left brake white/brown. By now my head hurts and not sure what converter to buy since this isn’t a typical problem for most people. Thanks for your website QA and the ability to ask a question! Hope to hear back soon.

What you need is a signal converter to combine the turn signal and stop signal so they can work together on the same bulb. For that you'd need the part # RM-732. This will take the two signals and allow them to work together. So if you hit the brakes they brighter lights will come on, but then if you turn on a blinker the brighter illumination will still flash.
