Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 2018 VW Tiguan

Question:

I see in your question and answer section reference to hitch and wiring harness for 2018 VW Tiguan that you have recommended wiring harness #119190KIT. While in the process of ordering this, as well as a Drawtite hitch receiver, a statement comes up stating that the 119190KIT, as well as the119250KIT is not compatible with this vehicle. Can you confirm fitment before I place an order?

Both the Tekonsha # 119190KIT and the Zero Contact Harness # 119250KIT that you referenced are universal kits that will work on your 2018 VW Tiguan. With that being said, there are now custom fit options available for your 2018 model Tiguan that will be a MUCH easier installation.

For this, I recommend the Curt T-Connector # C56403. This will install by simply plugging into factory ports located inside the rear cargo area of the vehicle. Once the connections are made, you will just need to run the hot lead up to the battery. This will provide you with a 4-Way connector to connect with and power a trailer's basic signal lights.
