Can Atwood AC Unit be Wired to Thermostat that Operates Furnace
Question:
I want to replace the dying Carrier Air V HC, the ducted unit has remote thermostat that includes control of the gas furnace. Can I just buy a ducted rooftop AC and switch them out or is there some sort of adapter required? Will power connects be fit or is there an adapter? Can you recommend one that is a relatively easy retrofit? Will the new unit include ability to control the gas furnace? If not can you recommend a wall mount thermostat that will control both the new AC and the gas furnace? Can I buy a new AC that includes everything I need for replacing the Carrier with new? BTW: love the Electric Valtera waste valve! Got it and installed yesterday. Thanks!

The Ducted Atwood AC unit part # AT15028-22 that you referenced is designed to replace AC units like what you have now that is designed for ducted roof styles.
This can be used with a furnace but it will require a separate thermostat wired in to control both as the thermostat that comes with this does not have the capabilities.
