Does Lippert JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizer Work With Telescoping Jacks?

Question:

My SportTrek 290vik has stabilizer jacks installed at 45 degree angles at each corner not the typical install parallel with frame. Will I be able to install JT’s Strong Arm stabilizers and if so is any type of adapter required? Thanks in advance!

In regards to your stabilizer jacks being installed at 45 degree angles, I believe you are referring to telescoping jacks. If they look like what is shown in the accompanying photo then yes, you will be able to use the JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizer Travel Trailer Kit # LC191025.

You will not need an adapter of any kind, there are only a couple of different steps you'll need to take during installation, which is outlined in the instructions.

Question:

Thank you for the reply. I don't actually have the telescoping jacks like you mentioned, I have attached a picture of my front jacks so you can see what I mean. You can see the way they are mounted is not the typical way (not parallel with long sides of frame). Do I need any special adapter with the jacks at this angle? Thanks again!

There is not an adapter that you would be able to use; the adapters are for the foot plates that are used by the fifth wheel version of this kit. The only way you could install Jack Stabilizer # LC191025 is if your jacks were oriented in a way that you had the ability to attach to a crossmember, which I cannot tell from your photo. According to the directions:

"Locate a cross-member rearward of the rear jacks at a minimum of 4” to a maximum of 18” for jacks mounted at an angle. For jacks mounted square with the chassis frame, use a minimum of 6”.

Under front half of chassis, locate a cross-member or center compartment with a steel floor from 6”-18” from front of front jacks."
