Do Trailer Hitch Receivers for the 2016 Volkswagen Golf R Require Trimming

Good morning, can you tell me if hitches will require any cutting of the bumper/ rear diffuser on a stock 2016 golf R Thanks

We have trailer hitch receivers to fit your 2016 Volkswagen Golf R but he Curt you asked about, part # C11475, isn't designed for your car. It's for the 2017 model.

We have two hitches from EcoHitch and one from Draw-Tite that fit your 2016. From EcoHitch one is a 2 inch, part # 306-X7332, and the other is a 1-1/4 inch, part # 306-X7333. I recommend the 2 inch because it's compatible with more accessories than the smaller hitch is. Both of them do require trimming to the fascia.

The Draw-Tite is part # 24975 and it is also a Class I 1-1/4 hitch and also requires trimming.
