Recommend Crossbar Size For My 2011 Ford Explorer Limited

The crossbar width that you choose really depends on your preference and how much you want to carry. The largest crossbar we have available that is a confirmed fit for your vehicle measures 60 inches in width, the Thule WingBars, part # TH711500. The WingBars will mount using the Evo raised rail feet, part # TH710401. The WingBars are also available in black using part # TH711520.
If you are wanting to carry more than 1 or 2 roof rack accessories, I would recommend going with wider crossbars. But, keep in mind a wider crossbar may hang over the top of the roof. You will want to measure the distance between the factory side rails on your explore to determine how far the crossbars will hang over.
