Why are Some Bearing Buddies Threaded
Question:
I have a drum and hub assembly for a 3500# axle. I have noticed a Bearing Buddy set that are threaded. Is there a drum and hub assembly that accepts these type of bearing buddys?

Oil bath hubs use caps that are threaded which is what the threaded Bearing Buddies are designed for. If you have a 3,500 lb axle hub you wouldn't have need a threaded Bearing Buddy.
