What lug patterns does this mounting plate mount to? or is it universal?

The Yakima SpareRide bike rack, part # Y02599, mounts to either 5-lug or 6-lug spare wheels. The mounting plate that installs onto the spare tire holder under the spare tire has two positions it works in; one for 5 lugs and one for 6 lugs. Take a look at the picture I attached taken from the install details.
