Yakima Rocketbox Mounting Location Change for Crossbar Fit
Question:
Hello, We have an older Yakima rocketbox. The serial number is on a white sticker The predrilled holes and attachments to the crossbars are approximately 32-33 inches apart. The max distance between our Yakima timberline cross bars on a 2014 Acadia is 30 inches. Can we drill holes about 1.5 inches closer in- just in front of the factory drilled holes so that it will fit the crossbars? Thank you!

You can drill holes in your Yakama Rocketbox to give you the crossbar fit you need. You will then simply use a sealant like # LT37467 to seal the factory holes so you don't have water issues.
