What is the height from the bottom of the mounting flange to the top of the ball?

I went and measured the height of ball # 63840 and from the bottom of the base to the top of the ball is 3.16 inches. That is a hair over 3-1/8 inches tall. I have found that this is a fairly common measurement having measured numerous hitch balls over the years.
