Connecting Wires on Trailer Side 7-Way

I replaced the 7-way cable on my trailer some years ago. Unfortunately I left it too short on the tongue end and had to use another piece and add a second plug and receiver to reach the trucks connector. So I have extra cable looped around the jack. I would now like to remove the mid-point connectors and splice the cable to the right length. Whats the best way to go about splicing 7-way cable?

What you can do is simply use butt connectors. We have exactly what you need with the Bargman 7-Pole Round Connector w/ Hardware # 54-67-525.

This is a 7-way trailer end connector that comes with butt connectors and will allow you to easily connect your wires.

If you already have a 7-way you can just use butt connectors.

For 12-10 gauge wire you can use # DW05745-5 and for 16-14 gauge wire you can use # DW05744-5.
