How to Determine Necessary Winch Strap Strength

Hi , I have 92 ski ray , by Sea Ray . Replacing winch strap and are what weight strap would be good enough ? The boat seat weight is: 2,450 lbs I have a bunk type trailer . Is a 4,000 lbs , 2x20’ strap good ? Thanks

The working load limit (WLL) of the winch strap is the determining factor.

The weight of your Sea Ray cannot exceed the WLL of the strap. A 4,000 lb, 2" x 20' strap such as the BoatBuckle # IMF05848 has a WLL of 1,333 lbs.

The BoatBuckle # IMF14211 is 2" x 25' and has a WLL of 2,667 lbs.
