What is the Rise on the Thule T2 Platform Style Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack

Question:

Bottom of 2inch receiver of my Draw Tight Hitch on my Sienna is 9inch from ground. How much higher will the wheel platforms on the T2 be. I am concerned about whether or not they will drag on a driveway approach. Thanks

On the Thule T2, # TH9044-Th9046, from the top of the shank that fits in the trailer hitch receiver to the bottom of the wheel cradles where the tires sit measures about 6-1/4 inches.

From the top of the shank to the underside of the nearest platform measures 4-3/4 inches. The rack, when folded down, is at a slight angle so the farthest platform will actually be about 3/4 of an inch higher.

The 4-3/4 inch rise should keep the rack from contacting the ground. However, on steep inclines and dips it is still possible it could rub against the ground.

I have included a link to the installation details and a video review of the rack for you.
