How to Find Bearing Numbers to Allow Selecting Replacement Hub for 1996 Four Winns Trailer

Question:

Hi. Im looking for a spare replacement hub or bearing set for my 1996 Four Winns single axle trailer. The drum has the markings QRG 94000 and 3285 or 3265, its hard to tell. Do you have any information on something that old, or do I need to pull it apart and measure? Thanks!

We can help you with a spare trailer hub-and-drum assembly and/or spare bearings for your trailer. Thank you for your photo.

Either way you will need to pull one of the hubs to get the part numbers from the inner and outer bearings. These part numbers will of course allow you to select the correct spare bearings but they will also help us find the correct spare hub/drum. A new hub/drum must use the same set of bearings as the one it replaces; this is how we can ensure the hub will fit on your trailer's spindles and that it has the necessary weight capacity to match your axle. The drum's casting numbers don't quite get us there.

Please refer to the photo I linked for you. This shows the usual placement and appearance of bearing part numbers.

I also linked our main page for hub/drums with the 5-on-4-1/2 wheel bolt pattern. On that page you can click on your inner and outer bearing part numbers to see only the hubs that use those specific bearings. For instance, if your bearings are # L68149 (inner) and # L44649 (outer) you can use hub # AKHD-545-35-K which is rated for a 3500-ln axle.

Several helpful articles are linked for you to help with the process of replacing your bearings and/or hub.
