5th Airborne Sidewinder and Warranty on Trailer

We are planning to purchase a Fuzion 39foot 5th wheel toy hauler. I would be using a Ford F-250 short bed truck to pull with. I like the Sidewinder over a sliding hitch, so I asked Fuzion what they thought. They are telling me once the original king pin is removed from the trailer, they will no longer warrant the king pin. They also wont warrant any frame damage caused by the Sidewinder. My question is this actually a concern? Is there a way for the Sidewinder to cause any damage? We can go with a sliding hitch I guess, but the Sidewinder seems to be a better products.

In terms of warranty for the king pin, the 5th Airborne Sidewinders do have their own 3-year warranty. As for frame damage, a Sidewinder is not going to cause any damage to the frame so long as you use it with a compatible hitch on your 2018 Ford F-250. Some fifth wheel hitches are not compatible with a Sidewinder because the pivot point gets changed to the Sidewinder's turret, but if you have the right fifth wheel hitch there is no reason to be concerned that your trailer's frame will be damaged.

Also keep in mind that the cushioned 5th Airbornes only have a 16,000 lb capacity, which looks to be about 1,000 lbs or so under a 39' Fuzion's GVWR, though there are non-cushioned options which have a 19,000 lb capacity.

The correct 5th Airborne for you is going to depend on the king pin that comes with your Fuzion.
