Can Yakima Slim Shady Roll-Out Awning Y07409 Install on Yakima Roof Rack on Tear Camper

Question:

I have a [email protected] tear with Yakima heavy cross mount roof rack for kayak or bikes. Will this work off the roof of the tear, as it works off the roof of a car? I cannot see why not.

Yes, you can mount the Yakima SlimShady Roll-Out Awning # Y36VR to the Yakima crossbars that are mounted to the top of your teardrop camper as long as those crossbars are spaced apart at least 24-inches on a flat surface.

This particular bar spread is required for stability but the SlimShady installs on just about any size and shape of crossbar, including Yakima round bars like # Y8810025, Thule square bars like # TH712400 and even the wider elliptical/aero-style bars like the Thule AeroBade bars # TH711420.

The [email protected] tear trailer roof racks are installed at a fairly sharp angle that follows the trailer's roofline so the awning may be tilted at an angle.
