Question:
I do not need the brake hookup. Small tent trailer with no brakes, but I do need the battery hookup. Is it as simple as hooking up to the positive battery connection, adding the circuit breaker, then running the wire back to the plug? Is it ok to hook up to the battery post, or should it be hooked up to the something in the fuse box? Thank you

Connecting the 12V pin on your # ETBC7 kit is as easy as running the 10 gauge wire from the 1 o'clock pin on your 7-way to your engine bay. There you will connect the 40 amp circuit breaker in the kit, and then wire it directly to the positive terminal on your vehicle battery.
Since you don't need the brake output wire connection for your trailer, you can simply tape it or zip tie it out of the way so you can utilize it later if desired.
