Can the Erickson Truck Bed Ladder Rack Part # EM07708 Be Installed with a Toolbox

Question:

My 2000 F150-XL 6 1/2foot bed is equipped with a Husky toolbox that extends over the bed rails. The toolbox uses J-hooks to hold it to the rails. Is it simply a matter of sliding the toolbox forward to mount the ladder rack in the front of the bed? If so, how far would I need to slide the toolbox forward? Also, in the configuration, would the toolbox interfere with taking the ladder rack down? Thanks!

As you mentioned, in order to install the Erickson Truck Bed Ladder Rack part # EM07708 on your 2001 Ford F-150 with the 6-1/2' bed you simply need to slide the toolbox backward so that there is a spot in front of the tool box for the ladder rack to attach to the underside of the bed rails. You can also install both uprights on the ladder rack behind the tool box if you desire. The toolbox will probably only need to be slid towards the tailgate 2-3" as the footprint of the uprights on the ladder rack is not very large but this also depends on the configuration of your truck bed so exact numbers would be difficult to formulate. You should not have any issues removing the ladder rack with the toolbox installed.

I have attached an install video of this ladder rack for you as well.
