Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for 2016 Ford F-350 and 21,000 Pound Trailer
Question:
Hello - I just purchased a #4400 Pull Rite Super Slider from you. It works great but my truck is a little soft for the trailer I am pulling 21,000lbsish. I am buying a 2016 F-350 dually and installing the Firestone red label air bags but do not believe that it has the factory puck system. What do you suggest for a 5th wheel hitch and under bed configuration?

We do have a nice selection of fifth-wheel hitches that use under bed rails for the 2016 Ford F-350. The Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Air Helper Springs # F2703 that you also mentioned installing are compatible with the mounting hardware from an in-bed hitch.
We do not currently carry Pull-Rite products. The highest rated under bed fifth-wheel hitch we have available for your truck is the Demco Hijacker Fifth Wheel Hitch # DM8550032 if you have the 8 foot bed or the Hijacker Slider # DM8550037 if you have the 6-3/4 foot bed. You will then just add the Under Bed Installation Kit # DM8551000 to either option. This hitch though features a 21,000 pound towing capacity, so if your trailer weighs more than this then you will need to go with a different option. The Demco Hijacker is a really nice hitch that is actually pretty similar to the Pull Rite that you currently have. It features a wraparound single-piece jaw for an excellent connection with the trailer and a double-pivot head to ease hookup and reduce chucking.
Otherwise if you need more capacity your best option will be to go with an above-bed hitch like the Curt Q24 # C16245 if you have the 8 foot bed or the Sliding Q24 # C16546 if you have the short bed. You will then just need the Custom Installation Kit # C16424-204 which includes the base rails. This hitch has a 24,000 pound towing limit, a 2-jaw locking system, and a 360-degree pivoting head.
I have attached a few video demonstrations on these products that you can also check out.
