Wire Gauges for Hopkins Endurance Trailer Connector with Universal Pigtail Harness # 47210
Question:
I cant find any reference to the gauge of the purple wire. Heres what I have found for the others. Please verify. 12ga Red, White, Blue 14ga Brown, Green, Yellow Installing on a 1997 Ford F-150 pickup. A HM48480 7-way connector was installed by a local shop in 2015 along with all the wiring for my truck and dump trailer but now I want to install the HM50002 Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System and will use the HM47210. In addition to the camera, I will be ordering the Deka shrink butt connectors as well. Thanks

I reached out to my tech contact at Hopkins and the wire gauges for the Hopkins Endurance 7-Way Trailer Connector with Universal Pigtail Harness # HM47210 are as follows:
Red, Black, and Blue--14 gauge
White--12 gauge
Purple, Yellow, Green and Brown--18 gauge
So for your heat shrink butt connectors you will want # DW05743-5, # DW05744-5, and # DW05745-5.
This kit is compatible with the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System # HM50002 and is an easy installation. I've attached a video to assist.
