Axle Needed for 2010 EZ Loader Jet Ski Trailer That is Exposed to Salt Water
Question:
Hello, I have a 2010 ez loader jetski trailer that I have to replace the hub assembly every year due to use in salt water. Is there an axle that is built for saltwater use? I did notice that the bolts and plate holding the lad spring is corroded pretty bad and might need to be replaced soon. I just want to DXI this in one shot. Can you help please? Thank you

Standard axles have a black powder coat finish which helps to fight off corrosion for typical use but it isn't really rated for salt water use as that is a very harsh environment.
If your 2010 EZ Loader trailer has a 1.8K axle with a hub face measurement of 57-1/2" and a spring center measurement of 46-1/2" then the CE Smith Axle and Idler Hubs # CE33201GA-HUB should be a great fit for you. These hubs come with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern.
If your current axle doesn't have these dimensions then you will need to get one fabricated at a shop, but be sure to get one that has a galvanized finish.
