Question:
Comparing photos of the two, it appears that the Draw-Tite may be lower than the EcoHitch—although it is difficult to tell due to different cars, camera angles and the like. My concern is giving up ground clearance. Can you provide comparative dimensions of the two hitches?

The EcoHitch part # 306-X7601 that you referenced is going to tuck a bit tighter under the rear bumper of your 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon that the Draw Tite part # 76227. If ground clearance is a priority then the Ecohitch is the way to go.
