When picking out a replacement axle you will to first take a couple measurements on your existing axle along with determining its weight capacity. You will need to measure its hub face length, which refers to the distance from the base of one wheel stud to the base of the wheel stud on the opposite side. Then take a measurement from the center of the spring seat on one side to the center of the spring seat on the other side. You will need a replacement axle with these same dimensions along with a matching capacity.

For example, the Dexter Trailer Axle w/ Idler Hubs # 35545I-EZ-89 has an 89 inch hub face measurement, a 74 inch spring center measurement, and a weight capacity of 3,500 pounds.

The only square tube axles we have available do not have the type of length you are needing.

Another option I recommend considering is a Timbren Axle-Less Suspension System like the Timbren # A35RS545E. This system will fit any frame width and can eliminate the need for a thru-axle altogether. It features progressive springs that will actually take the place of standard leaf springs for a more stable and comfortable ride. This particular set includes hubs and electric brake assemblies. It has a 3,500 pound weight capacity. You will still want to choose a system that matches the capacity on your existing axle.

I have attached a short video demonstration on this system that you can check out, along with a link that will take you to our available selection of the Timbren Axle-Less units that you can look through.
