What is the Correct Thule WingBar Roof Rack for a 2011 Ford Explorer with Raised Side Rails
Question:
I have a 2011 Ford Explorer XLT. Does the 53 inch Thule roof rack bar fit this vehicle, and do you carry this length? I only see the 60inch length on your website.

We do have 53 inch WingBars, # TH711400 and # TH711420, but this length is not recommend as the appropriate length for your 2011 Ford Explorer. The 60 inch bars, # TH711500 and # TH711520, are the manufacturer recommended bars. The 53 inch bars are not long enough to maximize the weight carrying capacity of the vehicle and fit properly which is why the 60 inch bars are needed.
In addition to the bars, you will also need the Thule Evo raised rail feet, part # TH710401, for the raised side rails on the vehicle's roof. I have included links to a couple of videos featuring the bars and the feet for you.
