On your 2014 Chevy Silverado, there are a couple of options to connect your Truck Cap stop light to your truck. The CHMSL (center high mount stop light) on your truck is one location where you can tap into the wires with Quick Splice Wire Connector # SWC501925-1 on the power and ground to run # 16-1-1 wires to your cap light.
Another option is to tap into your fuses using the lid of the fuse box or your owners manual to determine the fuse location for the CHMSL or Stop Light.
Another option is to tap into your trailer wiring for the left turn/stop and right turn/stop and then use the Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter # C56196 to separate the turn signal functions from the stop light so your truck cap only gets the stop light function. If you don't wish to disturb your factory wiring for these splices, I recommend using the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # C55384 I've attached a video of the installation prior to splicing to assist. The splicing then is simply color to color with the adapter. I recommend using the Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connectors # DW05744-10 for this installation.
