Recommended Storage Cover for 2017 Jayco Hummingbird 17FD
Question:
I need an all weather cover for my narrow, odd shaped Hummingbird 17FD with access door in the correct place. I believe this trailer is equivalent to the Rpod 178. The search came up with a cover recommendation but it appears to have square corners which my trailer does not have. What do you recommend? I live in eastern Oregon and will have snow during the winter. I also have a lot of wind so need the cover to fit well. Thanks!

Your 2017 Jayco Hummingbird 17FD is indeed very similar in shape and size to the Rpod 178 camper. For a storage cover that will work great on I do recommend the Adco RV Cover # AD37ZR that you were looking at. This is confirmed to fit the trailer and it features 3 different areas along the passenger side that can open up to allow access. These openings span the entire length of the passenger side so you won't have any issue getting into the trailer when it's covered.
There isn't a cover available that will fit the rounded edges on your Humminbird perfectly, but the cinching system on this unit will help to remove slack and allow it to work well with the camper's unique shape.
In terms of protection the cover will work perfectly for your Oregon climate, as it is designed specifically for wind, high sun exposure, high moisture, snow, and long-term storage. This is an All-Climate + Wind storage cover.
I have attached a short video demonstration that you can also check out.
