My research indicates that Apex offers both over-the-cab ladder racks like the Thule TracRac Universal Steel Rac # TH91000 and also standard 2-bar racks like the T-Rac Pro2 Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH37002XT. I presume you have one of the standard 2-bar racks.

You have the option of installing a roof rack on your F-150's super-crew cab to help support the bow of the boat. The tops of these bar will be approximately 3-inches above your cab roof.

Another option is to use a foam block to cushion the boat's bow.
