Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2018 Volvo XC60

Question:

Hi I have a 2018 Volvo XC60 do you have a trailer hitch?

We sure do!

For your 2018 Volvo XC60 I recommend the Stealth Hitch # SH87FR if you mainly intend to use it for a bike rack or a cargo carrier.

If you intend to tow with your Volvo, then I recommend the # SH87FRT which is the same hitch, but also comes with everything that you need for towing a trailer.

You will also want to verify the towing limits of your vehicle by checking your copy of the owner's manual. You will just need to follow whichever limit is lower, the vehicle's or the hitch's.

I have attached the written installation instructions and install videos that you can check out as well.

Thank you for the good content already posted. I have a related question, do the recommendations here also hold true of a 2016 Volvo XC60 T5? I am exploring the feasibility of towing a 19' boat that is just under the 3,500 lb towing capacity (350 tongue weight) of this vehicle (boat dry weight with trailer is 3,100). I am trying to determine the best combination of hitch receiver and wiring. Thank you!

Your 2016 Volvo XC60 T5 actually requires a different hitch and wiring harness. For the hitch I recommend the Draw-Tite # 75671 and for a wiring harness the Tekonsha # 118739 will work perfectly.

@ChrisR And how about for a 2019 volvo xc60? What options are programmable to the volvo towing module

@Oa I have included links for the trailer hitches and wiring harnesses available for your 2019 Volvo XC60. None of the aftermarket options would install into any type of existing towing system on your XC60 to create a factory towing package option.
