Will My Brakes Fit the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with 4" Drop Part # 7685269
Question:
My existing Axle has brakes. Will they bolt on to this axle? Item # 7685269
asked by: Ervin
Expert Reply:
The Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with 4" Drop part # 7685269 has four bolt brake mounting flanges already welded on. Therefore, if the brakes you have now have this same four bolt brake mounting flange then they will transfer over. The four bolt brake mounting flange is common on 10" x 2-1/4" braking assemblies like part # AKEBRK-35-SA which are commonly found on 3,500 lb axles. If you have a 3,500 lb axle now then they will most likely work for you but you can check by counting the brake mounting flange bolts.
