Recommended Roof Rack for 2019 Honda CR-V to Carry a Canoe

I have a 2019 Honda CR-V with a naked roof so it doesn't have rails or anything else on it. I am looking to add a roof rack which is really sturdy but also keeps the look of the CR-V so it isn't super high off the roof. I have a canoe I would like to carry with the rack also.

The roof rack I strongly recommend for your 2019 Honda CR-V is the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack because it gives your CR-V a rack that is highly functional with a refined look.

The Rhino-Rack Roof Rack is made up of:

- Crossbars # RRVA137B-2 (Black) OR # RRVA137S-2 (Silver)
- Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Legs # RRRLKVA
- Fit Kit # DK284.

This roof rack uses aerodynamic bars that have rubber vortex strips in its top channels which greatly minimize the amount of wind noise and drag you might encounter. The design of the bars, as well as their low profile, are what gives the rack a graceful look on top of your 2019 CR-V.

The crossbars are made from light but very strong anodized aluminum, which is also going to resist any type of corrosion. Additionally, the rack offers security in the form of built-in locks which secure the bars to your roof and will secure any channel-mounted carriers to the bars.

I have added a link to a video showing this rack being installed on a CR-V as well as a photo showing it installed on an Equinox so you can see how it will look on your car.

To carry your canoe the best option is the Thule Portage Canoe Carrier # TH819 because it is easy to install with universal brackets, has angled sides on the brackets to help make loading your canoe simpler and comes with load straps and bow/stern tie-downs.

The Portage Canoe Carrier has soft pads to prevent any type of damage to your canoe when you are loading and unloading it. The only other thing you might need are the Quick Loops for Thule Bow/Stern Tie-Downs # TH530 which install directly under your hood and rear hatch if you do not have easily available attachment points for your tie-downs.

I have added links to video reviews of both the Portage Canoe Carrier # TH819 and Quick Loops # TH530 for you to check out and have added a photo of the Portage in use so you can see how it will carry your canoe.
