Are Available 7-Way Connectors Wired for US Made Trailers

I see variations on the wiring of a 7 wire plug, is the one on your website the correct one for US made trailers?

The 7-Way trailer wiring sockets we have available such as the Pollak Metal # PK12703 referenced in your question do indeed feature the standard US pin configuration. I have attached an image that shows the pin locations and functions that you can use for reference. This is a 7-Way for the vehicle end. For the trailer end you will use # PK12702.

Keep in mind though that the actual wire color used on both the vehicle and trailer can differ. Because of this it is always best to test the wires for function using a circuit tester like # PTW2992 to be sure. This will ensure that you make the correct connections on the 7-Way socket.

I have attached a great article on trailer wiring that you might also find helpful.
