For your 2018 BMW X1 I would recommend the Draw Tite part # 76018. The reason I recommend it is because it has the highest towing capacities and doesn't require a stabilizer strap like # 18050 when carrying a non-supported load like a bike rack like the Curt requires. It also comes with a bracket for mounting trailer wiring and has a concealed crosstube which means it will mostly be out of plain sight.
