Recommended Transmission Cooler for 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic With 5.3L Engine

I purchased a 2007 4x4 Silverado and watching the trans temp at one point reach 240 I was very concerned which trans cooler do you recommend? 5.3 engine Ltz model

When it comes to transmission coolers, the rule is that you want the largest and most efficient cooler you can fit in your vehicle because you cannot overcool fluids. For your 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic with a 5.3L engine I highly recommend the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler # D13504 because it is a Plate and Fin cooler which agitates fluid extremely efficiently and because of its large size at 11" wide x 12" tall x 7/8" deep.

To install this cooler you will only need to verify you have enough space for it to fit and you are also going to need the Derale Snap-In Radiator Adapter Fitting for GM # D13035.

I have added links to video reviews of this cooler and fittings for you to check out as well.
