Question:
Just got my 2019 Nissan Titan xd. I would like a roof rack. My plans include transporting skis in winter and kayaks in the summer. I intend to leave it on all the time so I would like a roof rack that won't be super noisy.

All of the quietest roof racks share a similar feature, a wing-like bar shape called either aero-style or elliptical. We offer a cost-effective roof rack of this type for your Titan XD that will work great for skis and kayaks. It comes from Rhino-Rack, one of the industry leaders in aftermarket racks.
Their Vortex Aero roof rack, made of parts # RRVA150B-2, # RRRLKVA and # DK468, consists of lightweight 59-inch aluminum aero-style crossbars along with the leg assemblies and custom fit kit made for your Titan XD. The linked photo shows you the clean appearance of this roof rack, which includes locks.
The black Vortex bars will accept two types of accessory carriers, both those that clamp around the bars and those that use the top channel in the bars for installation. These channels are protected by the included rubber strips. For an example, the Rhino-Rack ski carrier # RR576 can both clamp around the Vortex bars and it can be channel-mounted.
The kayak carrier I suggest is the lightweight and value-priced Swagman Exo Aero Rooftop Kayak Carrier # S65145 because its design allows it to mount to the outside ends of the crossbars, rather than at their harder-to-reach center. This will make loading the boats on your Titan a lot easier and it leaves room in case you ever decide to use other rack-mount accessories.
