Should I Replace the Mufflers or Resonators on a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 5.7L V8

Question:

What are my options if i want to replace the big resonator, will it be glasspacks? And what would be an alternative if glasspacks are too loud?

In order to have the MagnaFlow Stainless Steel Muffler part # MF12586 installed on your 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee you will need to take your vehicle to a local exhaust shop. Your Grand Cherokee has a resonator in the middle of the exhaust and a muffler at the end of the exhaust just before the tail pipes. The MagnaFlow Stainless Steel Muffler will need to replace the muffler at the end of the exhaust.

If you will be replacing the resonator then you may as well just look into a cat back system because by the time you factor in the parts for the muffler/glasspack and custom exhaust work you will most likely be over that of an aftermarket cat back system. It's also going to sound much better in my opinion. For this, I recommend the MagnaFlow Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust System part # MF16631. The MagnaFlow Cat-Back comes with everything you need and it can be installed at home with minor tools. It has a lifetime warranty, is made of stainless steel, and increases horsepower/torque. This is all on top of MagnaFlow's signature deep and throaty exhaust note. The issue you run into when replacing the resonator is that the inlet and outlet are offset so you can't just use a glass pack to replace it. Most people will have a custom delete pipe made to replace it but again by the time you do this you are at the price of a cat back system.
