For your 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500, the third brake light wire for your topper is already run and can be found under your dash in a bundle of wires. I've attached a video to assist you. The wire you are seeking for that topper is the orange chmsl wire (which stands for center high mount stop light). You will simply run a # 16-1-1 wire from that location to your topper center brake light. I recommend using the Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connector # DW05744-5 for nice protected connections.
