For your 2018 Honda HR-V, I recommend the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # 306-X7322. This is the only 2 inch receiver we have compatible with your vehicle and you will need a 2 inch receiver for most carriers compatible with a scooter. This hitch will have a 300 lb tongue weight rating, so your 73 lb carrier and 81 lb scooter will get you to 254 lbs of your 300 lb total capacity so it will work well.

Any of the 1-1/4 inch receivers would not be able to work with a carrier that has a 2 inch shank as the expanders like # HTAD will decrease your tongue weight by 50% and make the weights incompatible.
