What is the Correct Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2009 Ford Escape with Backup Sensors

I have a 2009 Ford Escape. It does not have the factory tow package. Your Harness #118551 looks like the one I should use, but I have also read someplace that if the vehicle has the backup warning sensors, that a different harness is required. My vehicle has the backup warning sensors. Which harness do I need. If it is a different one, what is the difference? The hitch number 13650 is what I would need also. Where on that hitch would I mount the bracket for the 7 pole socket adapter with the flat four pin plug on the other end? What bracket would I use? Thank You

The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 118551, is the correct harness to use if your 2009 Ford Escape has the backup sensors. The reason it works and the other harness does not is because this bypasses the tow package wiring and thus will not interfere with the backup sensor wiring.

In order to mount a 7-Way trailer connector on the CURT trailer hitch # 13650, what I recommend is the 4 and 7 Way Installation Kit, # ETBC7, and then add the No-drill Mount Bracket, # C57202. You would not want to drill into the hitch. The ETBC7 will also provide all the wiring needed to install a brake controller.

If you need a brake controller, our best seller is the P2, # 90885. I have included a link to the installation details for you and I have included links that explain the installation of an ETBC7.
