Factory Brake Controller Port Location and Harness Needed for 2018 GMC Sierra 1500
Question:
Hey all. Will be getting the Prodigy P3 for my 2018 GMC Sierra 1500. Just to be sure can you tell me which is the right plug in harness I need for installation. Also where is the factory plug that this goes to in my truck? Please help and thank you!

In order to install the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 (great choice!) on your 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 you just need the Plug-In Adapter # 3016. One end of the harness plugs right into the brake controller itself and the other end will plug into the factory port on your Sierra.
On your 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 the factory brake controller plug-in port will be located beneath the dash and behind the junction box lid (see attached photos). I have also included an installation video on a similar truck that you can use for reference.
